Dave’s Reflections

I am in my office on this cold and rainy November morning reminiscing over the season that has past and the next to come.  I was 50 years old when we started to restore Holly Shores and this February I will be 70…yikes!!!  It has been an exciting ride and I look forward to many more years of good times and good friends here at Holly Shores. After the spring rains we had a pretty lovely summer season with some hot days but not too unbearable.  The campground was comfortably full with our campers reporting very pleasant times here at Holly Shores.  Brian and our outside staff did a really good job of keeping the campground looking great!   Christine and Bill and our guest relations group did a fine job welcoming our guests.  Bill did an amazing job cooking all summer including breakfasts, delicious lunch delivered right to our pool, specialty dinners including wings, turkey, Italian, Mexican and more.  His hand dipped ice cream socials and those amazing but deadly funnel cakes were a Wow all season long!    Finally, our annual pig roast was a huge success with both seasonal and holiday campers enjoying good food, good music, and good friendships.

As always we have some exciting projects planned for this winter.  Keep your antennas up for the changes coming to enhance Holly Shores.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner we want to wish you and yours a safe and delicious holiday with your family and friends.

As always…Dave, Maggy and all the staff!
