Whatcha Need to Know
Activities: Fun family activities daily from mid-June through Labor Day. We also offer Spring & Fall weekend activities! See our 2012 brochure for our themed activities and don’t forget to pick up your activity sheet at check-in.
Alcohol: We are a family friendly campground. Please, no alcoholic beverages.
Arcade: Our air-conditioned game room is open from 10 am to ½ hour before store closing. Don’t forget your quarters to play video games, air hockey, and pool. Change machine available in arcade.
Bathhouses: 4 clean, modern bath houses with hot showers and flush toilets. Showers are 25 cents. This helps protect our field beds and conserve underground aquifers from salt water intrusion. BH 4 is handicap accessible-see campground map.
Big Rigs: Welcome up to 35’+ on our ultra sites! If you need help backing into your site, please ask for assistance at store.
Boats: Sorry, no boats permitted in campground. Please store your boats at a local marina.
Bikes: Bring your bike for a great way to get around the campground and local areas! Take the Cape May Bike Path, a 2 ½ mile fun-filled family ride. This path takes you right into Historic Cold Spring Village! For the safety of all our children and campers, Holly Shores does not allow bike riding after dark. NJ State law requires riders under the age of 16 to wear a helmet.
Cable TV: To receive basic cable channels, please pick up a Comcast cable adapter at the office. There is no charge for cable; however, we do require a $100 security deposit on a Visa/MasterCard.
Check-in: Campsites after 1 pm. Cabin, trailer, and park model rentals check in after 3 pm. No check-ins after 10:30 pm. In the spring and fall seasons, store hours change, so please call prior to your arrival for closing times.
Check-outs: All sites and rentals check out before 11 am.
Dog Park: Check out our beautiful, enclosed dog park. Dog regulations are posted in front of the dog park.
Express check-ins: GET THE VIP TREATMENT! Express check-in available for guests paid in full at least 2 weeks prior to arrival, from 2pm to 8pm on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays in the summer (July & Aug.), as well as Memorial Day & Labor Day Weekends. Receive check-in packet from security and go right to your site! Come back within 2 hours to complete your registration. Sorry, not available for rental units. Call for more info.
Firewood: Hardwood firewood available at office. ($) No outside firewood permitted, due to long haired Asian Beetle infestation. - NJDEP reg
Fishing: Located behind the campground are 3 beautiful, fresh water lakes within walking or biking distance. Pick up your fishing rod & bait at the campground store.
Free Food Events: To help keep food events free, tickets will be distributed at check-in according to # of people camping the entire stay. Day guests and Seasonals may purchases tickets for a nominal fee. Other events with $ sign - check with office clerks for price and details.
Games: Sports equipment is available with refundable deposit at the campground store for the following equipment: horse shoes, volleyball, shuffle board, basketball, bocce ball and more! Refundable fee for horseshoes $20.00. Others $5.00.
Gate cards: Holly Shores has a card controlled entry gate. Separate $10.00 cash security deposit required. At check-out, return your card for a refund of deposit and to receive your Holly Shores bucks to use for a future stay.
Golf Carts: Due to limited availability, golf cart rentals are 1st come, 1st serve. All renters/drivers must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, carry photo ID and must follow all traffic rules. If you need a golf cart during your vacation, golf carts need to be paid in full at the time of your reservation. No refunds for last minute cancellations or early departures. Golf carts are returned to front desk by 11 am daily- no exceptions. Privately owned electric golf carts are permitted on sites for $8.00 per night. Proof of insurance required. Please, no gas golf carts permitted. Ask about our hourly and half day golf cart rentals!
Group camping: spring and fall groups, clubs, weddings, family reunions, scout outs and youth groups. For groups of 6 sites or more, ask for our group coordinator. Sorry, group camping is not available during July and August.
Guest Fees: Please be advised that visitors are charged a fee for their use of facilities. Visitors must register in the office. Please advise your guests of the guest fee. If you would like to pay in advance for your guest, you may do so at the office. No more than four guests allowed on campsite per day. Maximum numbers on site, including guests, are six persons including adults, children, infants, and extra cars.

Internet: Wi-Fi available at your site for a nominal fee. Provided by Tengo Internet.
Kayak Rentals: Discover the picturesque back bays and lakes of Cape May County in our two person kayaks. Full day and half day rentals available. NJ Wildlife Management fresh water lakes located behind the campground.
Laundromat: clean and modern Laundromat available with XL capacity washers/dryers. See map for location and don’t forget your quarters.
Messages: phone messages are placed on the office message board. Please check daily.
Parking: One car is included in your site rate. You may have up to 1 additional car ($) (including guest) to be parked on your site.
Pet Friendly Cabins: • Pet friendly cabin rentals (H24, H29, S34 & S91) will require a $25.00 pet fee per pet, per stay (non-refundable). Only one 50 lb. dog or two dogs less than 50 lb. are permitted in pet friendly cabin rentals. No cats permitted.
Pet Policy: Dogs limited to 2 per site FREE of charge. Max of 2 dogs per site. Barking dogs and exotic birds are not permitted. Dogs must be on short leash and under the owner’s control at all times. Pets must not be left alone anywhere. Owners must clean up after their pet. These rules also apply when your children are in charge of pet, so they may require more supervision than usual. Children 14 years and younger may not exercise a dog without adult supervision. No pets permitted in the pool area, playground, pavilion, store, game room, bathhouses or Laundromat.
Playground: Toddler equipment, sliding boards, swings and other play options to keep the kids swinging all day long! Open 8 am to 10:30 pm daily. Please accompany your children at the play area.
Pool: Pool complex with a large heated pool, heated baby pool with fountain and a hot tub. See map for location. Pool attendants are on duty weekends beginning Memorial Day and daily mid-June through Labor Day. No lifeguard on duty. According to NJ State Law, an adult must accompany children under the age of 16. You must be 18 years of age to enter hot tub area. Check office for pool opening & closing times/dates.
Propane Gas: Gas refill service for tanks & RVs available ($). Be sure that your tank meets current codes, including the “OPD” style valve.
Quiet Hours & Curfew: Quiet hours are 11 pm to 8 am (Strictly Enforced). All children and teens must return to their sites by 10:30 pm.
Rain: We guarantee weather… just not what kind! Holly Shores’ fun keeps going through the rain! Outdoor activities-meet at pavilion for surprise events! Sorry, no refunds due to rain, discomforts of nature or otherwise.
Rentals: We have beautiful ultra & premium cabins, park model, and trailer rentals to fit everyone’s needs. We have a wide array of rentals available such as golf carts, kayaks, and activity equipment.
Scout & Youth Group Specials: Ask about our Boys & Girls Scout and Youth Group camp out specials. Sorry, group camping is not available during July and August.
Seasonal Camping: Have fun all summer long! Holly Shores offers sites for brand new 12’ x 35’ park models and 8’ wide travel trailers on a space available basis. (4/15-10/31)
Site options: we offer all site types from water/electric pop-up sites to our ultra full hook-up sites for travel trailers and RVs up to 35’+. Our large shaded sites include a picnic table & fire ring.
Site request: although we do our best to accommodate your site requests, we can’t guarantee a specific site. Please understand that many factors are considered in assigning sites, most notably the date the reservation was made, duration of stay (preference given to stays of 7 nights or longer), and desire to keep multi-site reservations together- site request not based on your time of arrival. Those arriving early should not expect the park staff to relocate another camper’s site arrangements simply because that camper has not yet arrived. We reserve the right to substitute campsites.
Snack bar: located in our store. Get your ice cream, hot dogs, pizza, soft pretzels, fresh popcorn, chips, cookies, soda, hot wings, chicken tenders, nachos, curly fries and more! Call ahead 609-886-4474 with your credit card ready and order for fast pick-up.
Speed Limit: Please obey our 5 mph limit for you and your children’s safety. Speeders may be asked to leave without refund. Remember, children are at play.
Store: Our campground store is your 1-stop-shop for groceries, ice cream, snacks, camping gear, ice, and more! Don’t forget your Holly Shores souvenirs! Services include faxing and copying ($), local attractions info, and maps.
